DR. CHRIS SWANSON
Dr. Chris Swanson enjoys all aspects of primary eye care. He specializes in ocular disease diagnosis and management as well as specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Chris Swanson grew up in Southwest Oklahoma and has family ties in the area. The Swanson family’s Oklahoma ranching history dates back to 1907. After graduating high school in Hobart, Oklahoma, Dr. Swanson attended Oklahoma State University and graduated from Northeastern with a degree in Cell Biology in 1995. While attending the NSU College of Optometry, he received the award for “Excellence in the Treatment of Ocular Disease” and the “Presidents Award for Leadership.”
Dr. Chris Swanson and his wife, Ashley, have three children: Jake, Josh and Ava. Dr. Chris Swanson enjoys serving in his local church, spending time at the lake, snow skiing, and helping out at the family farm.
DR. SHANE CLABORN
Dr. Shane Claborn was raised in the Duncan area. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Northeastern State University. He then went on to earn a Doctor of Optometry Degree from NSU Oklahoma College of Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians.
Dr. Shane Claborn was the recipient of the “Cooper Vision Excellence Award for Contact Lens Management.” He has lectured to optometry students and optometrists on topics such as ocular disease and contact lenses. In 2008, Dr. Shane Claborn completed a clinical externship at Eye Care Associates of South Tulsa for further training with emphasis in pre- and post-surgical care, ophthalmic lasers, retinal imaging technology, and ocular disease and management.
Dr.Shane Claborn provides vision care to all age groups. Dr. Claborn is passionate about caring for his patients, and is dedicated to providing the best vision and eye care available. Dr. Claborn enjoys keeping up with the latest changes in eye care technology and helping his patients see their best. He prescribes glasses and contacts based on individual needs.
Dr. Shane Claborn is married to his high school sweetheart, Cortney, who also graduated from NSU. They have two young boys, Connor and Colton, who want to grow up to be hunters and cowboys. Dr. Claborn favors spending time with his family and friends during his free time. His hobbies include church, wakeboarding and training horses.
Dr. Howard Ross
Dr. Howard Ross grew up in Lawton, graduated from Eisenhower High School and Cameron University. His Doctor of Optometry degree was conferred from Southern college of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 1978. He is a member of the American Optometric Association Contact Lens Section, is a past board member of Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians, the Lawton Chamber of Commerce, and past president of the Lawton Board of Education.
Dr. Howard Ross is certified in Laser and Cataract surgical co-management. He is a member of the Oklahoma Optometric Association of Physicians.
Dr. Brandon Ross
Dr. Brandon Ross was born and raised in Lawton, graduated from Lawton High School and Oklahoma University. His Doctor of Optometry degree was conferred from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 2011. He is a member of the Oklahoma Optometric Association of Physicians and the American Optometric Association of Contact Lens Section.
Dr. Brandon Ross is continuing the third generation of Ross family members providing eye care here in Lawton.
Dr. Laura England
Dr. Laura England is a native of Smithville, Tennessee and graduated from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee in 2007 with a degree in biochemistry. Her Doctor of Optometry degree was conferred from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 2011.
Dr. Laura England then completed a residency in 2012 through Northeastern State University College of Optometry at BVA Advanced Eye Care and TLC Laser Eye Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Her residency focused on refractive surgery, ocular surgery, and ocular disease. She is a member of the Oklahoma Optometric Association of Physicians and the American Optometric Association Contact Lens Section.
Dr. Bret Furnish
Dr. Bret Furnish is a 2005 graduate of Northeastern Oklahoma State University College of Optometry. He has provided eye care to Newcastle since 2015 and is proud to call Newcastle, Oklahoma, his home town along with his wife and three children.
He is proud to provide excellent, up-to-date, professional eye care. He has expertise in contact lens fitting and the treatment of acute and chronic eye disease like glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. He prides himself on taking the necessary time to explain and answer questions ensuring that his patients feel comfortable with their eye care. He is a member of the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Jeremy Wiggins
Dr. Jeremy Wiggins grew up in Choctaw, Oklahoma and attended college at
the University of Oklahoma. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the
Northeastern State University of Oklahoma College of Optometry.
While in college, Dr. Jeremy Wiggins received the Marjorie Fullbright Optometry Scholarship for his interest in promoting community health. Dr. Wiggins has always been passionate about volunteerism throughout college. He received the OAOP Apollo Award for "going above and beyond the call of duty to deliver eye care."
Dr. Wiggins and his wife, Grace, live in Oklahoma City with their dog, Trudy.
